We are currently recruiting for an Apprentice Building Services Engineering Assistant in our London office to shadow and assist Engineers in all aspects of Building Services Engineering. Apprentices will be working and studying towards a Level 6 degree apprenticeship.
 

Responsibilities

  • Shadowing and assisting on Dilapidations Studies and Condition Reports.
  • Shadowing and assisting on project monitoring and performance specification advice for refurbishment and fit-out projects.
  • Shadowing and assisting the team providing technical support and maintenance management duties.
  • Providing CAD support
  • Meet target KPIs on WIP management including HIW.
  • Business Development and Client Care awareness.
  • Adherence to Health & Safety procedures.
  • Responsibility for own continuous professional learning.
  • Respect Company Values.

Requirements

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel
  • Good telephone manner
  • Have the ability to pick up new computer systems
  • Required to have the ability to work within a team and on own initiative
  • Must be enthusiastic, proactive and self-motivated
  • Must have strong verbal and numerical skills and good written skills
  • Requires excellent time management and general organisation skills
  • Is required to be flexible and have the ability to work under pressure
  • Have a can-do attitude

Your profile

Entry requirements

Apprenticeship candidates will typically have at least 5 GSCEs at grade A*– C including English Language and Mathematics, or specified equivalents; and at least three A levels at Grades A*- C including Mathematics and Physical Science or their equivalent or will have completed a Level 3 Apprenticeship as a Building Services Design Technician.

The ideal candidate will have a professional and can-do attitude, be self-motivated, enthusiastic, proactive and be able to prioritise and multi-task. They will have excellent organisational abilities to be able to balance different tasks ensuring deadlines are met whilst maintaining highest levels of accuracy. They are required to be flexible and have the ability to work under pressure and importantly is passionate about Engineering. We welcome applicants with language skills and we would love to second people to go abroad or recruit nationals from Europe to do our UK training before relocating to one of the European offices.
